A note from Studio Wanderwell’s founder Sarah:
Studio Wanderwell was born from a simple belief: your time is your most valuable asset, and your time away should feel truly worth it.
We create journeys that are imaginative, deeply personal and entirely shaped around the people taking them. Because while there are endless ways to plan a trip, creating something genuinely exceptional takes judgement, creativity, trusted connections and an obsession with the details.
That is where we come in.
We take the time to understand how you like to travel, then bring everything together into a journey that feels effortless, considered and unmistakably yours.
Where shall we go next?
Our name is inspired by Aloha Wanderwell, the pioneering explorer who, at just 16 years old, answered a newspaper advertisement and joined an extraordinary round-the-world expedition.
Travelling by Model T Ford, she went on to become the first woman to drive around the world — an adventure that took her across continents and helped cement her reputation as one of the most remarkable travellers of her time.
Her curiosity, independence and instinct to look beyond the obvious felt like a fitting inspiration for Studio Wanderwell.
Meet The Team
Sarah Bentall
Founder and Creative Lead
Sarah founded Studio Wanderwell with a belief that exceptional travel is less about having more and more about making the right choices.
A lifelong traveller, she has spent years exploring the world, building trusted relationships and developing a strong instinct for the hotels, places and experiences that are genuinely worth seeking out.
Before moving into travel, Sarah produced events for some of the world’s leading brands, an experience that shaped the way she approaches every journey today: creatively, thoughtfully and with an eye for the details that can completely change how something feels.
As founder, Sarah continues to work closely with clients and the Wanderwell team, helping shape journeys that feel deeply personal and entirely their own.
Emily Herbert
Luxury Travel Designer
Emily brings a thoughtful, creative approach to every journey she designs, with a particular love of places where culture, landscape and adventure come together.
Widely travelled herself, she is naturally curious about the people and stories behind a destination and has a sharp eye for the small details that can turn a good itinerary into a memorable one.
Before joining Studio Wanderwell, Emily studied at the University of Cambridge, competed in ski races across Europe and spent time working on international development projects in Kenya.
What she enjoys most is getting to know our clients, understanding how they like to travel and using that insight to create journeys that feel genuinely personal.
Ivonia Fortuin
Operations & Client Experience Manager
Ivonia brings a natural love of organising, a warm approach to people and a keen eye for detail, enjoying the behind-the-scenes work of bringing all the moving parts together to create seamless experiences.
Always drawn to beautiful surroundings, she enjoys discovering places that offer a sense of escape, from the outdoors and quiet getaways to memorable food and wine experiences. She particularly appreciates the little details that make a place feel special.
Before joining Studio Wanderwell, Ivonia spent most of her career in the Cape Winelands of South Africa, where she discovered a real love for creating memorable experiences and making people feel genuinely cared for. She’s excited to bring that experience into the world of travel.
What she loves most is knowing that every detail is taken care of so that our travellers can relax, enjoy the journey and make the most of every moment.
